Information on Classes

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Dog Training!

One of our objectives is to promote responsible dog ownership. The freedom we enjoy in owning a dog carries with it many responsibilities. Dogs must be well behaved and on leash when off the owners property. Owners must clean up after their dogs and themselves. Owners should intelligently and humanely house, feed, medically care for and transport their animals so that they are not a nuisance and do not infringe upon the freedoms to which non-dog owners are entitled.


Our classes help to give a brief and basic education on how to achieve these goals.

TRAINING CLASS LOCATION-Classes are held behind the Daytona Mall at 288 N. Nova Rd., Daytona Beach 32114.    The Mall is located at the northwest corner of ISB and Nova Rd. where the Burlington Coat Factory is.   CLICK HERE FOR MAP
Because we are non-profit, all our instructors are volunteers so that class fees may go towards projects that will benefit dogs. Most of the instructors have earned AKC titles for their dogs, and compete in obedience and agility competitions. They attend dog training and dog related clinics, workshops and seminars to stay on top of the latest positive training methods.

All dogs must:

  • Arrive on collar and leash at training class. (Nylon, Cotton or Leather)
  • Present up-to-date vaccination information on the first night. (Rabies, DHL & Parvo)
  • Be cleaned up after. (Scoops and towels are provided)
  • Arrive on time, attend each class and practice the lessons between classes
  • Bring water for your dog and yourself
  • Bring small, easy to eat treats for your dog.

Kindergarten Puppy Training

Class is for puppies 3 to 5 months of age. The one hour class meets once a week for seven weeks. You are provided with class material that covers proper puppy care and typical puppy behavior. You will be taught how to introduce your puppy to walking on a lead, coming when called and some basic commands. You should bring small easy to eat soft dog treats, a toy and water to each class.

Registration begins at 6:15 pm. You must check in at the registration desk on the first night.

Beginner Canine Freestyle

Class is for dogs new to freestyle. Some prior obedience training is recommended. This class will cover a variety of basic freestyle moves, how to select music, how to choreograph a freestyle routine, and costuming. Class members will learn to perform a simple freestyle routine with their dog. Participants will need a portable cassette tape player or boom box for home practice. (Taught once a year beginning in August.)

Advanced Canine Freestyle

Class is for dogs who have completed the Beginner Canine Freestyle Class or who have had freestyle experience. The class focuses on mastering a number of advanced freestyle moves as well as perfecting individual and group routines that can be performed in demos, shows, and competition. (Taught twice a year, spring and fall.)

Basic Training Class

Class is for dogs 5 or 6 months of age and older. In the one hour class that meets once a week for seven weeks you will learn how to train your dog to walk calmly at your side, sit, down, stay, stand and come when called.

Please bring your dog on a leash the first night of class. It must be made of nylon, cotton or leather. No Flexi or chain leads. The first night will include orientation.

Registration begins at 6:15 pm. You must check in at the desk first night.

Intermediate Class

The Intermediate Class is designed to perfect the exercises learned in the Basic Class. Students will be introduced to New Exercises , Hand Signals and preparing for Off-Lead Work. This class will teach skills needed to continue toward a Novice Competition class.
